The Artist (In the style of John Donne)

There in releasing passions be,      How shared in dance and artistry; That as I watched upon our bed,      Her dance as fresh as when we wed. Oiled and bare she offered such,      More poignant than the sense of touch; Responsiveness in heightened state,      Intensifies what we create. As close to me and womanly,      Her scent and heat in harmony; Teasingly in erotic pose,      To grant me views she will expose. Shown lovingly as ocean mist,      On moistures sheen I then subsist; That taste is shared between the two,      And blend all through, as morning dew. When granted I, the flesh caressed,      My lips upon, and hands on breast; Responding to desired need,      All else in life we supersede. And plunge as fate, such rhapsody,      With cries of love in ecstasy; Enhanced each time beyond the past,      Till next we share and that surpassed. Entwined our love till morrow come,      Recalled again when we succumb; As kisses sweet retain the trace,      And drive us to again embrace.
