Great Grandmother's Love

I'll never forget the days spent by your side, With everything to tell and nothing to hide. The words you chose, always so innocent and pure, Using love and laughter as your favorite cure. Listening, as your wisdom flowed like a fountain, And your achievements as great as the highest mountain. With your hair as white as snow, To love you is all there is to know. To see your eyes sparkle with joy and happiness, To have you in our lives we've all been blessed. Letting go was the hardest thing for me to do, But we both knew it was the best for you. To let you have no more suffering, and no more pain, To make you stay would only be selfish and insane. Now I know you are in a warm and better place,  But up in the clouds I'll always see your face. When I'm lonely and feel no one cares, I'll always have the memories that we've shared. And I'll always cherish you deep in my heart, Because I know we'll never be far apart. And even though this has brought me such sarrow, Grandma, I love you today, and I'll always love you tomarrow.
