I Never Know Where You Are

I gaze at impossible  greens of forest scenes and 500 yards of pristine mountain stream rotating slow its flowing in perpetual repetion on a lighted plasic cylinder above the bar my eyes lock't only on interior landscapes. I'm alone in mid-mob and payday glee my eyes aimed at smoke-crusted western murals above the booths and stained glass windows of yesterday. The jukebox fills the air with betrayal and loss and attrition and I wish you  were here beside me taking all this in.
