Peacocks

WING1PRAY@AOL.COM Peacocks by Donna Friedrichs Peacocks Breezes blow, Peacocks milk  Praise from staring eyes  Fanning colors, each plume  A painters palettes prize  Awesome, path-wearing, strut Regal, a crowned King Oohing, aahing, praising lips Pearls, gifts we sing Plumes felled, scooped gratefully Retrieved; claim the prize  Carried home, displayed Daily pleasure our eyes  Misunderstanding, as we do Perchance, a captured treat We unaware, the Peacock knows  Beauty will soon repeat Copyright 1/17/2000 Donna Friedrichs Donna Friedrichs Copyright ©2000 Donna Friedrichs
