SUCCUMB TO HEAVEN'S DRUM Overtaken, overcome. Steps I'm mak'in, begin to run, Straight to the shadow of the Most High. Sacred protection, when night is nigh. I am sure where I am going, When these dismal days have past. Slivers of death's umbra showing, The toxic "die" has been cast. But I see bright lights in my future, And I know just where they come from: Heaven's Son, earth's greatest Teacher; Now and forever.......overcome. Overtaken, overcome. My heart's break'in, this soul's undone. For who, who is least among most, Can resist the powers that be? The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost Have an eternal hold on me! His Spirit uncloaks the plan Unraveled through millenniums. Torn asunder was God's Man, No wonder my heart still succumbs, To the power of love's majesty, To the thunder of heaven's drum. Kissed by immortality; Completely overcome! |
