Homeless

The coolness wrapped ‘round me like a rain dampened shirt. It’s a stalking thief that steals my heat as I nestle in, hungered and hurt. My pain drowns dull in this star bright sky. A promise of light and hope for all souls, as I shake, with sleeps’ promise safe tomorrow’s sun will warm my role. I’m vagabon’d by life, my possessions all here. My needs refined, by the passage of time that’s blessed my wander without much fear. There is little to steal from a soul like me as I bed in my shelter, readied for sleep. In truth I accept without much regret the cloak of this coolness that steals my heat.
