A Cry in the Dark

A cry out in the dark was made By someone I don't know From deep inside my heart it came It said it's time to go. The voice was sad, confused, and hurt It asked what I would do If I learned the things of past Not all but just a few? The voice conjured up in my mind A question of the past That made me think much too much and Spun my mind too fast. Soon things began to cumulate One and then another Before I knew it, I had lost  All touch of our Father. Alone and by myself I was; A cry out in the dark was made By someone I know well Said let the mem'ries fade. Who is this soul or person Who cried out in the dark? It was a child of long ago Locked up in my heart.
