Timothy The apostle told the student learn things of me And commit these words to faithful men, so able they will be If you teach a faithful man he will work so hard to know His faithfulness will drive him where others just won't go Likewise teach an able man based on his credential He may not become a faithful man, no faith no potential Buying the lies from the thing in disguise, his soul like a rental The faithful shall diligently perform in fashion existential In combat training in '65 to fight the war in Vietnam We knew our rifles were needed to keep us all from harm On the range we fired guns so well, elation was detected The sergeant chided delight saying we did just what was expected The lesson that day shall ever stay in the heart of the grateful Moving the man to do all he can, his best for he is faithful The apostle told the student neglect not the gifts you've received By prophecy and healing hands the anointing readily perceived There are two kinds of man we understand, faithful or just not The faith filled do well, others thinking all things can be taught |
