Ferry Ride

As I ride this ferry across placid mirror like water, the image of the maritime coastline is reflected on my soul, and  my spirit is quenched, by the wind and the saltwater spray. For this is the place, that I call home.

This poem came to me because of the ferry ride I took just yesterday from the mainland of New Brunswick, across to Deer Island, and I found such peace in the feeling of knowing this beautiful Maritime Province is my home...
