Lady in Blue

Today I watched a woman A small cart behind her back Dressed in blue shorts and shirt Standing by a rubbish bin Digging her way in I watched as she pulled out  Old crinkled newspapers Cigarette butts, empty bottles She found a box of half eaten fries My God, she kept it out She took a dirt covered fry And place it in her mouth My stomach churned I screamed inside Stop this now Oh God,  she needs help I forgot what I had set out to do I used my lottery ticket Cash is what she needed Cash is what I took  I left to go find her She was gone evaporated into thin air Was she just a vision, a creation Of my imagination running wild Or was she just a lost soul  In search of a helping hand I know I'll keep on looking Each time I near that bin For God uses each of us In very special ways To complete His long term plan

Additional Notes:
seldom do I punctuate; this happened today as I went to the store. I tried to find her after cashing in my ticket so she could buy good food. I did learn a lesson though next time, if there is a next time, I will somehow ask the lady or man (be the case) to come into the store with me first.
