JOHN

John was a quiet old man. who never did say much the towns folk all thought he was the strange sort maybe even a little slow and such he was born back in 1903 to a poor couple on a farm in '24 he married a sweet girl from highline who'd ran away from her father a mean and abusive old swine 1927 saw the birth of thier only son two days later they left the hospital family of three...love made them one. by 32 they lost the farm to the great depression he took a job in town working long hard hours as someone elses possession in 39 cancer found its way into his son two long and painful years later he died take care, we love you..he cried mom and me....soon we'll be by your side in 52 his wife passed away and as the tears rolled down his face he gave is wife one final embrace I'll be with you soon...I love you he said his heart weighed so heavy with sadnes and dispair, wishing already he was dead for 15 more years life dragged on as it does....even when everyone you love is gone then one day, while working out in the yard his wife was standing there in the sun telling him that tonight...finally it was his time to come once again..they would be one that night he knelt down one last time to pray God im sorry..I didnt amount to much I couldnt save my wife or my boy from deaths cold bitter touch John..God replied..that was there destiny and you did all that you could you gave them everlasting love more than most anyone ever would John thanked God and climbed into bed dying silently in the night as dreams of his wife and son played through his head the next day when he was found in that state of eternal rest wrapped in his arms, layed on his chest the picture of the three of them..the one he loved best
