Mandolin Music

I imagine the timeless grasp of a timeless  place where lotus blossoms of love  tip the scales and balance our choices  across checker boards of lives where winning breeds loss and loss proves fruitful. I imagine we are paused together and the impersonal cushion of this place has made the intoxicating lure of one more round one more birth and one more adjustment to the ledger seemingly outside of grip of hardship. I imagine it is the mandolin sounds of harmonies love flowing from our togetherness that gives us the strength to accept the illusion of separateness and the veils of vanity and pride that produce our self encompassing miseries. Now I am imagining that we are imagining together and the emotional landscape that has laid waste to our covenant is drifting dream like unimportant as we remember our truth and a ledger somehow improved  by the bitter and sweet fruits of our togetherness. ‘Til then my dear, I am comforted by our physical departure for it holds the promise of timeless times folding into forgiveness and loves free flow across the black and red checkered boards of many lives lived in the spirit of two souls swimming  in sweet mandolin music.
