The Flower & The Butterfly

Where are you going? Why won't you stay? On wings of color You fly away. Fluttering, flitting, Hovering above. I tender my love Opening my petals To your feathery touch. Why won't you stay? I promine so much. Please stay, why must you go? Your velvet presence intrigues me so. Dipping, soaring, dancing on wind. With never a promise to linger. If I could soar and waft in air, I would not stay in this rooted lair No matter what the plea. As you, I would taste Every flower upon my way, Never leaving a stray. They're soft swaying in the aura Beckons you, I know. Dolefully I watch you go.
