Broken Promises

She cried, "Stop! Please don't!" As he promised, "Don't worry.  I won't,"     and then took from her the only life that she had ever known. She felt her world fall to pieces. He had taken her dreams before she had a chance to defend them. He had betrayed her trust and soiled her very definition of love. He took her smile, her hopes, her freedom, her willingness to give,      to love, and to be loved. Everything that she was a moment before was replaced with fear. She looked into his eyes and saw breathless content. He had finished his task. She felt used and broken. How could this man that said he loved her have done this? He smiled and promised that he would never do it again. But to her amazement the next time came. Her misery was not yet complete. He was invading her bed once again.
