Misunderstood

The beauty of the morn sings to me caresses my ear like a lullaby The water dances teasing, playfully seeking a partner a soulmate -- me Wildlife flees at my footsteps tranquility gone heedlessly I disturbed them while entranced by the song I stand alone the day is mine nature is my companion most of the time dandelions sway seductively the facade is gone I am free to be me no games, no mask I look to the future closing my eyes to the past the time is right the time is now I want to be me but I'm not sure how Sunlight beams the day is a dream and I don't want to lose it Shining water laughs beckons and plays looking for a mate until the end of its days I step forward and sink to my knees let the end be quick Please God, please

Additional Notes:
OK all, now that I have a new hard drive I can start to critique and submit again. I posted this one because it is one that rhymes (and you know it's a rare thing for me) and it's another older poem. It's a poem from 88 or 89.

Sorry, there are no critiques for this poem in our system... If the poem is older, the critiques have been purged! Poetry Contests Online at The Poetic Link
