E-mail

I look at the screen where e-mail  can be seen.  Information in nano-time.  E-mail listed in nice little rows.  Which one to click on for time will  take its toll.  Fun-time, joke-time, forwarded mail, stale jokes,   and mundane information, all in the way.  And advertisers want to have their day.  But for me there is just one thing  I want to view, it's e-mail concerning  poetry, just anything will not do.  Oh, what a fun day:  poetry newsletters  information from editors  poetry web addresses  poetry sites to be seen,  here and now all new and  fresh and clean.  I take it in and sometimes print  to keep and cherish, for this is  how my time is spent.  The price is dear:  Not enough time for cleaning  or weeding.  And less time with friends.  But payback is a heart full  of cheer.  So as costly as it is, I choose  to pay the price.  The price of poetry is twice  as nice.
