The Land of Illusion

Adventurous as I may be it is challenging to chart a course to a new location--the land of Illusion and come up with something unique to coastal waters. To find a relic or something quite ordinary, but special nevertheless. Riding the currents totally obsessed with discovery. I take voyage with the words; avoiding being capsized.  Today the wind is hitting the sails just right and the waters are steady; tomorrow I might not be as lucky. What carries me along is the wind and my crew.  My crew are thoughts, and memories.   Sometimes metaphor, simile, and alliteration  step onboard. Being the captain I open my log- book to record the trip. I have my compass--pen, setting course for due north. Full speed ahead. On the briny sea on which we travel the crew begins to sing a mariner song. Eureka! looking through binoculars one of the crew spots land. We anchor the ship, then step onto land. After planting a flag. I then make the last entry in the logbook--completed voyage.
