Walking The Path

What is it that makes each of us pick the paths we choose? They say that you can’t know someone till you’ve walked in their shoes. And this is true.  It‘s different and unique for everyone. Each of our lives are shaped by all the things we’ve seen and done. Experiences that we share have similarity. But how we learn and grow from them may turn out differently. The differences it makes are in abundance to be found. You don’t believe me?  All you have to do is look around. So I may not be perfect, but I’m sure I’m not alone. Let any without sin feel free to stand and cast a stone. I asked my Dad, when I was young, how was it that he knew when he spoke to the people that his words were getting through. He said "the way to find out is to look into their eyes". "To find out how a person feels, therein your answer lies". I hope when you look in my eyes that you can plainly see the way I feel for Lorie and how much she means to me. I wouldn’t settle for less and I didn’t every quit looking for the one on whom my glass slipper would fit. I know to some she may look like an ordinary bride. But she makes me feel like a king to have her by my side. I know this is no fairy tale world in which we live. But I’ll spend my life giving her all I have to give. And though I try my best, there may be times that I may blunder. But what God’s joined together please don’t try to put asunder. I won’t forget the times we’ve had, or things for me you’ve done. But everything is different now, and Lorie’s number one. It’s easy looking back to see just how things came to be. The road ahead is unclear and much harder to foresee. I know that life won’t always be smooth and trouble free. But I know that we’re walking in the path of destiny.
