Spring evening

Through a window, white Cars and a sleeping cat  Basking in a lazy warmth, May Day, Sunday The ground absorbing the heat Will radiate long after the sun Has faded from here But the memory will linger As bare feet greet the concrete At dusk. Copyright 1994
