The Book Upon My Shelf Leather cover crumbling, pages yellowed with age. Words faded from the pages yet, etched in the heart. Binding unglued, pages gently fall. Tattered and torn aged prematurely. A lovely book, a beautiful romance. When the words read lacked truth it was time to close the book and place it upon the shelf, along with the others placed there before. |
