20 Poems 20 poems is all I need 20 poems is what I'll breed 20 poems to submit 20 poems I'll have to knit Maybe 21 for good measure Free and easy is all it takes Make it meaningful Not too swallow Make it deep To get to the place Where it just flows How about the length Does it fit? Or will it have to be let out at the seams Is the material right? Is it wearable? Does it fit every occassion? Does the color suit me? Does the color fit the receiver? Now it breathes its own life. Fold it, mail it And then let it go Up for the offering For someone to behold. |
