Oasis of Salvation

Eyes of my weary spirit search for a sanctuary from the relentless ravages of shifting sands of time... sifting aimlessly beneath my feet. My withering life, a barren desert,  parched by sin's sweltering heat... strewn with skeletons of broken promises and dashed dreams. Above dust of a distant horizon, Amidst the empty, endless miles of devastating disappointment... rises an oasis of heaven's hope. Before my weary heart reaches  its fragrant borders of beauty, sweet, subtle drops fall softly... the rain of Your Mercy. Ears hear a rushing sound...  waters flowing eternally from sparkling Waterfalls of Grace... renewing the River of Life. Drinking deeply of Salvation's Well, dug by a Savior's willing Sacrifice, my soul bathes in Glorious Grace... washing away fear, the stain of sin. In the soil of my fertile heart,  faith bursts into tender buds, blooming with flowers of trust... filled with fruit of Your Vine. Resting beneath Branches of Strength, The Voice of Your Word whispers truth... Glaring sun of guilt and shame gone, Cool Breezes of Peace kiss my mind... Gentle Light of God's Love shines.
