Vacant

Older, so much older Eroded and exhausted Emotionally empty Too much is misery Worn to a sphere No edges, only roundness All feelings slide off Images from the past Haunt the feeble heart Specters of living Now torment in dying To denigrate what once was To diffuse through ether The atoms no longer recognize The person who once was In hope there's a savior In despair, a god Salvation, damnation Not separated by far A reason, a meaning An endless enigma For the vacant there's no burden No feeling, no thought

Additional Notes:
Too depressing to generate enough energy for proper punctuation
