Seperation Asea

Cutting deep, words of rage echoed within the hollow, delicate shell of broken hearts. I boarded the S.S.Longfellow off the coast of Maine, searching for self lost in thick tangles of struggle and misunderstanding. On rolling waves miles from roots and anchors of solid, sober earth I remembered the tale of a distant ancestor manning the helm of a 19th century clipper. I thought of foggy nights, black, but for the hazy glow of Portland Head Light. I thought of spectres' shadows on a wooden deck, lonely voices of the lost wandering in eternal infamy. Waning songs from an Irish balladeer seemed compatible with somber wonder as I peered into the endless depths of darkness.. falling.. through currents of vast darkness in watery graves of the unfulfilled, the unknown, the morose, welcoming me in open arms to oblivion..
