My Wish

As I gaze into the mirror I wonder who that person is, She is not someone that I know Or someone I want to be, Her eyes are sad and lonely her mouth perched in a frown, It is clear to me her heart is broken as I see that tears are rolling down, In her hand she clutches a photograph of the one who said goodbye, A love she must now live without she takes a breath and exhales a sigh, I know if she only had one wish what that wish would surely be, To close her eyes and turn back time when he was close enough to see, So as I peer into the looking glass and realize the reflection is of me, My hearts the one thats broken and my wish can never be.
