I Am Proud To Be An American

I Am Proud to be an American! Sept 11th, 2001 What a tragedy We woke that morning Divided as we could be. The buildings were filling With souls to be lost. America was attacked Many lives were the cost. One Airplane hit Then came another. The building shook Like wings all a flooder Never given a chance No time to pout. Run down those stairs Got to get out. As the people ran out We heard such a clatter Some looked up To see what was the matter The building came tumbling down Crushing all in its way So many hero’s  Were buried that day. Suet and smoke Was all around. All were running Some hit the ground. Through all this tragedy Who would guess That America would Unite Among this mess. The American Spirit  Arose that day With all the despair It is here to stay. People helping people Giving each other a hand Some staying behind To help their fellow man. There were many  Hero’s that day. Super people with heart Their love was on display. There were men in the Air Who helped save our Land. Love, support, and care God guided their hand. Divided We Fall, United We Stand! We have God’s love I am proud to be an American.
