Rozamund, the Siren of the Severn

And did that face A thousand ships set sail Along the waters of the Severn Towards the new Jerusalem? And did that smile Which flashed across her face Raise high the hopes Of those sturdy Men of Oak As they sailed onwards, ever onwards, To the Never Never Land? And did her eyes That shone and pierced The darkness of the night Chart clear the course for those Who sailed the waters of the Severn? And was it hers, That Siren voice, Which did a song of sweetness sing That caused the boats To split their beams Upon the hidden boulders of the Severn? And as the sailors shouted out aloud The name of Rozamund, And cried it yet again, Did she smile that gentle smile  And let the sparkle in her eyes Give one last hope to the who sailed Those waters of the Severn? And as they drowned  They lived their dream And held her in their arms. They touched her face and kissed her lips And felt their hearts beat fast, For in that single span of time Those sailors of the waters of the Severn Had reached that Never Never Land And did see the new Jerusalem.
