Illusions of the Heart I looked for you. In moments lost then found pages turned and bent, pictures tucked between the lines marking now then left behind; sifting thoughts collected in the crevice of our life. You lived, my heart declares it. A silent drummer pounds your truth within, without around me. In questions marked with yes and no, sights and smells and words untold, I looked for you I longed for you I cry for you, unfound. For you, who was and never was who lived but never did, inside the place that no one knows the place that only I can go where thoughts and dreams of moments spent and days of holding life content, now hollows in my soul's lament. Dimming light of yesterday its' marbled truth and lovelorn ways, a china set with broken face... I'll look for you no more. |
