My Special Mother

Today is a special day, that's set aside just for you, I send you a special wish and hope it comes true. I wish for you love, from your family and friends, Especially the love from me, that this poem sends. I hold these memories, deep in my heart, Of many years ago, right from the start. Most of them good, some of them sad, But of memories of you can never be bad. All of these memories in the days we call olden, Are precious to me, that I call them golden. You are the most special mom, that  anyone could ever want, Every body would like to have you, for their mom, but they don't. Wayne,and Trisha, Edath, Lil and me too, Are so glad we are blessed to have a Mom like you, Some days I get to see you, and some days I don't, Sometimes I'll get to talk to you and sometimes I won't. You are in my thoughts, each and everyday, So, that's why I am sending, this message, your way. I know when I was young, I said many things I regret, You still showed me the love, that I'll never forget. And I see more and more, as time now I recall, You were just showing your love, and that is 'all'. I see all these little things, that didn't mean so much then, When I did what you said to, then I was sure to win, So I look up to you and know you're the best, The "Greatest Mom", with whom I'm blessed. All that I am asking of you, Just keep being the Mom that I am used to. I know I don't say all the things you would like to hear, But, I love you with all of my heart, "My Special Mother Dear."
