The Demon

You are a demon, my eternal foe, why you invaded me I'll never know. You scarred and violated me with your ire, unrelenting, holding my soul to fire. Your very presence stabs my core, insidious consumption, death at my door. Where others have fallen in your path, I shall not succumb to your evil wrath. "Three months, maybe four, sorry, but not much more." Frightening words for one so young. Nerves frayed, becoming unstrung. You are wrapped around my mind. I abhor your fiendish kind. You tried to still my beating heart, assualting my will from the start. I denied you the sting of death, fighting you with every breath. You are a demon, a malignant beast, who has stolen my inner peace.

Additional Notes:
As a young person I had a rare malignant tumor..I have always thought of it as a demon.
