ForeShadow

Chills run down my spine The ticking of the clock has stopped The glaring light now a distant line Darkness breathes and begins to rot Death is present I feel it near Cold and silent it dwells within It encircles me like an unknown fear It craves a victim decaying with sin The air turns heavy and reeks of sulfur Unable to inhale I collapse with a cry Ceased are the questioning thoughts I adore All I can do is stay here and die Vision regained I look around A pack of shadows play on the wall No source for the shadows to be found I try to stand but of course I fall The shadows are joyous in their confines Laughing playing and acting uncouth I soon realise I too am a shadow of lines Hiding playing avoiding the truth

Additional Notes:
Punctuation pierced the heart of my works so I don't include it. I use the British spelling of realize, realise. My title is spelt correctly also. Anything capitalised is done so for obvious reason. Thanks
