infer the rain

infer the rain from the dark black sky and the cling of wet sweater on unemployed skin. imply the sand undermining events, a sliding pile of regret for the unaccompanied and evicted. elicit the sun from her purposeful smile, the memory unmarred by time and its men. exempt the wind from carrying this brown paper. sandwich on a beach, chewing hosts without the priest. admit the mist where the water meeting water meets the shore and which covets my solidity respects my anguish and flows around and through me, comforting this limp and shivering fish.
