Eye of the Beholder

I stare at your smooth whiteness and envision you clothed in color; wearing shimmering shades of sapphire, radiant in royal purple with glorious greens, from jungle to sea foam. I see the rich shadows and lights revealing depth and substance beyond your pure exterior and misleading simple surface to expose the beauty and luster of my most daring dreams. I watch you blush beneath the soft brush as my hand glides lightly, lovingly stroking life and beauty along curving lines that only I see and feel from amorous memories. I behold a world where light and love meet and mingle creating color and emotion beyond eyes and minds when we are alone and I open myself to offer my vision of life to you. Finally, you gaze back at me complete; with such serenity and contentment, wet and glistening with thick oils, you stand posing in the lamplight under my critical scrutiny to dry.
