Memories

Some memories fade. Sinking deep inside the mind, where they are ineffable. Somewhere in the quagmire of my brain, they are lurking profoundly silent. There are faces and feelings I yearn to hold. But they remain quiescent. If we are to face the future we must remember the past. How can we when the memories refuse to surrender? I want to remember his touch, his redolence. The sound of his laughter. The memories wane against my will. Their disguise torments me. My heart begs for it's fill.
