Special Delivery

After you moved out, the mailman started bringing secret messages with the mail, delivered to the woman left behind. Three magazines: (Broken) Family Circle (Other) Woman’s (Hey)Day Good Housekeeping. (Okay – take your best shot.) A letter from Salvation Army: “Thank you for giving.” (No! I’m not forgiving! Never!) A bill - Discover. A very heavy debt.  But, by far, my favorite envelope was addressed to you, dripping irony: From Promise Keepers ~ Men of Integrity.
