Simple Is Me

It's ok that you don't understand me. In fact, don't even try. I don't always comprehend me. But I'm trying. It's fun, discovering me. Unconventional?  Maybe. Nonconformist? Sometimes. Free Spirit? That's me. I wade along the oceans edge, laughing as the gulls swoop down for the crusty morsels I toss them. Roaming the forest paths,  I step over the moss covered logs that fall sporadically, creating refuge in the virgin woodland. I revel in the beauty of the sunset, blue tipped mountains in view. I sing off key as Enya croons her Celtic tunes. Dance barefoot in mud puddles. Cry at the sappiest movies. Happiest with simple things in life. It's ok that you don't understand me, but don't try to change me. I'm in my socks, shuffling my way through life.
