Four Elements

I would like to be an acorn that falls from the mighty oak tree, reborn again to grow fifty feet high, and live on for another hundred years,     and another hundred years,     and another hundred years. I want to be as the earth, and feel the rain deep inside of me, so deep I become as mud from which you build houses and cover yourself in. I want to be all the creatures of the earth so I can see at night, and hunt through the day, and nourish my body. Food for thought. Birds in the sky; it would be so great to fly! I want to be the wind whispering through the leaves, and blowing a hurricane upon the open sea; come ashore, and restructure mother nature. The earth is my home, wind leaves me not alone. I want to be fire sparked in the forest by a lightning bolt; all consuming ever forgiving and let grow again new life. My flames lick at your spirit to be set free. Waters run deep and rivers flow through the heartland of my earth. The necessary element, I am for all life to sustain. Drink of me, let me wash away the blood of all who died, and water the fig, the tree of wisdom and knowledge. I want to be all life immortal, yet die when I am called. If I live a million years that is only a second in time. If I live only a second life eternal that must be. I will not be satisfied until I see and feel my rebirth and reanimation in earth, fire, wind, and water. For if we serve a purpose in God’s plan, I will settle for no less than what I truly am. And what I truly am is what I want to be. Four elements         for all to see.
