The Street Where We Used To Live

Could this be the street where we used to live? Are these the same old neighbours passing by, older now, unknown, belonging here? Time is our ultimate disguise. I stare at the gate to our old courtyard; can no longer go up the staircase to what was once Home. The woman singing in her kitchen is no longer you, in this Here, this Now, another place and time, in this city, foreign, still familiar.
