The Dare

It was a simple dare. "Do it just once," she said, "I double dog dare you." And he hesitated not at all     to do her bidding.             (men take dares proffered by women - they just do) It wasn't chivalry nor defense of honor. But still he did it, seven times more     than she had asked. And she rewarded his courage       by saying to him, "You booger!"       (Which made him smile.) He's smiling now.

Additional Notes:
To D, who took my dare to use the word "booger" in a poem.
