Musician's Prayer

Bend my spirit around the sound.  Let my soul pound through the ground.  Write a lyric that seems to me, Mine alone, but sets you free. Pour it out as I really am, As honestly as I possibly can. As my fingertips and lips start flying, Let it ease a young girl’s crying. I want to play for you. I want to sing for you. Please let me Learn to teach, Be freed to free, Create a dream. Throw my head back in the rain. Let the music drown out pain. Send a message, only true. Sound my heart and soul for you. Breath my life out loud and clear. Show it all despite my fears. Today’s sorrow, tomorrow be Music shared between you and me. I want to play for you. I want to sing for you. Please let me  Learn to teach, Be freed to free, Create a dream.
