The groundhog

From beneath its loam of earth Emerging to acquire a peek In search of an obscuration A shadow of its own physique A day resolved in time To make its embryonic prophecy Lacking a sense of syllogism Proceeds to acquisition its survey Sunlight may embellish its hunt To lengthen the wintry scenario Soon to return to its chasm To slumber until the vernal season interval A haze may recess its conveyance To dwindle its winter sleep Eminently on this day of year  It will rise to take a peep
