Bedtime in Hadera

Hush, Little Children. Quiet down and go to sleep. Don’t think of broken promises that no-one meant to keep. Pray, Little Children. Stop your ears against the war. Listen for the voice of God as your supplications pour. Sleep, Little Children. Close your eyes against the world. Imagine a place of peace where no angry hate is hurled. Dream, Little Children. Look deep inside your soul. Find freedom from your anger to keep your spirit whole. Wait, Little Children. For soon you will be grown. The land and life we fight for will be your very own. Live, Little Children. His promise God will keep. You are His own Beloved, He watches as you sleep.

Additional Notes:
This was written with thoughts and prayers for not only the families that were attacked in Hadera, Israel during a girl's bat mitzah in Jan. 2002, but all the children who are forced to endure the senseless hate and violence forced upon them by a people gone mad with jealousy and hate. God has chosen Isaac's children. Ishmael's children cannot change God's mind. "And the angel of the LORD said unto her,(Hagar: Sarah & Abraham's maid, who concieved Abraham's child) Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." Gen. 16:11-12 ". . . Abraham . . . in Isaac shall thy seed be called." Gen. 21:12
