MY CHRISTMAS WISH

My Christmas wish was special Though I kept it deep inside Not willing to show you the message I thought I could run and hide This year I wished on a star For something I couldn't see I saw it shinning brightly And I hoped that it would be This year I wished for someone special A dream within my heart Hoping we would be together Or at least it would be a start This year I wished for hope Of a far outlasting kind Knowing there was someone out there Who would share a meeting of the minds So, I sat down to write a Christmas wish Deep, dark, mysterious and profound Something special for you to treasure For years when I am not around It took some time to imagine The scene as I wanted it to be But I closed my eyes and I saw it Something beautiful stirred inside of me I saw a vision of something special A holiday delight Chasing all my fears away As I held on to you so tight With the warm glow of Christmas candles Between the silence of the night Soft, white patches of fallen snow An illuminating fireplace is burning bright With your soft sillouwette in the distance Caressing me with your eyes I was taken in by your scent Amongst a world of Christmas lies A sweet smell of burning cinnamon  is rising through the air The apple cider is bubbling over But I'm with you, so I don't have a care As the vision grew brighter I saw the Christmas star above Angels holding us tightly Showering us with love This Christmas ended less dramatically Something less surreal than what I saw My expectations were so high I wished we could have shared more But you are someone special Wonderful, caring and sweet And it was my Christmas wish that we even Got the chance to meet
