ROADSIDE FLOWER

A yellow roadside flower  Free as the wind that blows  Basks in an afternoon shower She's free, and it shows  She's not confined by a fence  Or anything along those lines  Independent in every sense  Dare someone say, "She's mine"  Everyone adores her  Only some are brave to pick  She looks so good there  To uproot would make me sick  Please leave her there  But, cultivate her seeds  Disperse them in the air  To thrive around weeds
