LONELINESS

Loneliness is a broken heart,     deserted, screaming out in pain.     Crouching in the silence of love gone wrong.     Alone, in the corner of my mind, it weeps.     Hiding behind the garbage pile     of life's fears and broken promises.     Shattered by lies and deception of past loves.     Loneliness sets and gathers dust inside my heart.     The stained glass windows of hope and love are     boarded up by hate and delusion.      Nailed shut with tears and broken dreams,     leaving only loneliness.           Loneliness....                          Loneliness.
