... the hard way

 coolly smugly triumphantly your chin lifted challenged me I tried to hold on to those last words I clamped my jaws around the venom they held your eyes narrowed nostrils flared your lips pressed tight I know I’m right that’s enough but pride pushed them through gnashing teeth anger peeled them from my lashing tongue malice made them leap from sneering lips suicidally  those last words J   U      M         P            E               D from my mouth taking me with them I lay in a silent heap where your feet stood for the last time I was right So what Now I’m left
