Giving

To measure one’s life through gain and not giving, defeating the purpose  of life we are living. For giving and sharing  expecting no gain, will make our hearts happy, soothe our soul’s pain. “Oh what can I give?” asks the poor man. I say, “A smile or one happy thought”. For the best gift in life I’ve discovered is one which may never be bought. “Just what should I give?” asks the rich man. “Your money you keep!” I would say. “Give me the gift of your laughter or take just one moment to pray.” “So what shall I give you?” you ask me. I answer with no hesitation. “Give me the chance to love you, accepted with no reservation.” Through giving this gift you are gaining, by taking I gain in return. Please give me the chance to love you my friend.  The gain is in giving I’ve learned.
