The Papermate Poet

I tried to draw the boundaries, but the lines were undefined. I couldn't stop the rolling of the tide. Instead, I drew the sunset that swept across our sky, and tucked it in the corners of my mind. I tried to lose the feelings, but they were locked up tight. Sometimes, the truth is just too hard to hide. Instead, I found my longings were more than I could bear, and held you, as the tears fell from my eyes. I hunted for tomorrow, but  got lost in yesterday, and prayed that time would  help me cast aside. Instead, I sit here writing of time that never came, and pen my tale of love that will not die.
