A SILK RED ROSE

You met me at the pub door, with a silk red rose from the variety store. Wax beads of wet peppered the perfect petals that clung carelessly hitherto a stem askew with nubs of pretend thorns. I grasped it tenderly between forefinger and thumb, inhaled its sweet imagined scent as it wafted about. My heart sighed a passionate mystic ache of tenderness as I gazed longingly over the top of the flame so warmly given, traced tenderly the lips that kissed its perfect tips. Ah, this priceless perfect rose! You held out your hand and pulled me close, humming a soft sweet song as we danced in circles of filtering moon rays. Swell, the growing ache  of loves longing and desire. We could look not, neither here nor there. Our eyes were locked, as visions of scoreless fantasies played out. We embraced, the rose,  crushed between us. We lingered endlessly, our bodies not moving to music nor voice. We were alone, in a euphoric halo of moonlight and stars, that glimmered in spheres through the nights skylight. In closeted whispers, you spoke to me of love. The mistic haze lingered about our growing hunger, grazed on our senses and begged us to stay. My softness danced in  the mist as you sang me  a sweet seductive melody. Our hearts played and our hunger was fed and sated on desires neverending feast. Soon we surrendered to drink of sweet wine kisses. This place, reels in memories of our many nights together, recalls delights we call  our own to treasure. And between us........ The priceless beauty  of a silk red rose.
