All The Roads Curve Up If our minds could only ponder All the possible equations; If we'd learn the byways, Which paths divided where; Figure out all minor angles And major dislocations That twist, but never turn; Then,we might be halfway there. If our hearts would only wander Through the realm of raw emotion; If we'd learn our natures, The power of love and tears To cleanse our souls and spirits; Fire up our devotion With flame enough to burn Away the ashes of our fears..... If our minds would only open To understand those prophets wise; If we'd learn new lifeviews, The power of share and care; To reinvent our spirit selves; Enable those with blind eyes To see the Light, and Darkness spurn In answer to an angel's prayer...... If our lips would only speak Truth, with a sacred bond to seal; If we'd learn the reason All have to drink the bitter cup; The reason for our journeys; Why converging paths reveal The final lesson we must learn: May be that all the roads curve up. |
